Sabiyi Seyi Gbenga, ACA, MBA, PGDE, is a Chartered Accountant with over 13 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting operations and strategic budgeting. He has served as Bursar of West Midlands Open University since February 2025, where he leads financial planning, budgeting and reporting, and advises university leadership on financial strategy and sustainability.

He is an Associate Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). His academic qualifications include an MBA from the Federal University of Technology, Akure; a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto; and an HND in Accounting from Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke. His educational background complements his work in an academic institution and strengthens his ability to train, mentor and lead finance staff.

Before joining the university, he spent 14 years at West-Midlands Communications Ltd (Splash & Lagelu FM), rising from General Ledger Accountant to Senior Accountant.
